I limited to those brands as they are the only ones close by with in 3 hours of my location. Thinking ahead for parts and service. I know that there are several other brands out there that are no doubt just as good.

Didn't mean to offend anyone!

I voted Wascomat although we are installing the Electrolux line in our laundromat update. Our new location will be all Electrolux. I've never been a fan of Dexter, I know ppl with them and I don't like them. Our one location has Maytags and we are replacing those with Electrolux, the older Maytags were reliable but the new ones are junk, bearing jobs after 4 years and 8 years on machines, the coin drops they come with are terrible as well.

Default Can't vote...

I just picked up a few used Continentals. I haven't installed them yet but went into look at the components. I will be moving to continentals and wascomats. The C are heavy with lots of iron to hold them well. Components are easy the reach with lots of space to work with.

I have also had great luck with their dryers also...

technically speaking... continental dryers are never really continental dryers..

I think now they are Huebsch dryers with the continental name on it...
as they were a few years ago... they were dexter dryers with the continental name on it.

Mr. Anonymous & others,

I agree that coin mechs should be part of our criteria when buying new machines. It certainly should carry some weight in our choice or at minimum allow us to order the new machines without any coin mech with the proper opening & area so a better more top notch coin mech will fit.

It would be nice for you to elaborate on what specifically makes the Electrolux coin mechs better than the Maytag coin mechs. Do they return the coins properly & during the proper times. Do they accept more than one coin denomination that can be learned or sampled in the field? Have they proven themselves to be able to distinguish between legitimate coins & all very similar but inappropriate coins or slugs?

Dexter... Factory card reader installation, semi-local service (as opposed to none), customers are more familiar with them, and other brands won't integrate with my current stores.

Answer to yesterday question regarding Your choice of machines?

Head Administrator,

Really ???

Are you serious ???

http://www.coinwash.com/mb/showthread.php?t=242 What front load washers would you buy & What Front load washers do you already have ?

That poll was done in November, 2002, Doesn´t the Forum have any more recent data ???

Head Administrator, Why don´t you open a current poll ???

I strongly believe a current poll will profit more all members than a 13 years old, inaccurate, out of present market situation poll.

I have the same problems with my 5-10 yr old Maytags. Horrible. I went with Huebsch, but am also considering some Electrolux machines as well
