Anyone had any Wascomat timers rebuilt?

And by who?

Do you feel it was worth the saving?

There are a couple listed in the Journal. One lists $60. Called the other and he wants $85. Kinda pricey when you can get them for about $120 new.

I had a Dexter timer that was bad and took it apart and repair it myself. I took it out and put it on my desk and cleaned all contacts and if I remember right gentle bent one of the contacts and fix the problem. I laid out the diagram and went through each cycle and found the problem. But the Dexter timer has a knob on it that advances it through the cycles. But if your feelling fresky you could apply 110 v to the timer motor and watch it go through the cycles. At the same time in most cases the timer isn't the problem, This Dexter would try to add water at the wrong time and that tipped me off.

I have had several people encourage me to fix it myself. While I'm sure I could, I really don't need another project. :-P

Thanks!
