Does anyone dress up for Halloween? I think I may dress just as hoot for the kids and customers.

My Girls dressed up and put these phony hands hanging out of the washers and dryers. It was real strange. We handed out candy to the kids, but asked the Mothers or Fathers if it was ok. These days you have to ask. But it was as you said a HOOT.

This year I am having a Halloween party after the stores close for all of the employees. I told everyone that if they wanted they could dress up while they are working that day. Last year one of my employees dressed up like a front loader and another a box of Tide. It was funny. I usually give out quarters to all the kids that come in, but that will only be in the store I'll be at that day! The party should be a blast this year! I am expecting about 15 people. All you can eat and drink!

My town sponsors trick or treating where merchants agree to be in the program and put a sign on the front door. Kids come and we hand out candy.

I am probably one of the few owners who actually does not work in my mat. I have an office next door & I live 3 blocks away so I am always around though. So I won't be dressing up, but my store already is. We decorate the whole store (washers, dryers, windows, walls, fans, etc.) for Halloween. Is is a nice site when the store is festive. I get a lot of compliments for Halloween, Christmas & Easter.

Well, we have never been decdorated nor has anyone dressed up in our store. I think I have been snoozing in this department. What kind of decorations do you do? I have always felt it was a pain in the neck and the possibility of vandalism was enough to steer me away from the hassle of it. But maybe simple decorations and some goodies for the kids may be festive enough. How do you get the attendants to dress? Simply suggest it?

I am the boss! they do as they are told and know not to question my orders. If that doesn't work I throw the monkeys a bannana.

Oh great! Is it my prayers have been answered???........is the great obnoxious laundry man back in action throwing bananas?
Or is that annoying, obnoxious way with words a popular choice of attitude with men these days?

We decorate for all major holidays, I give the ladies a budget of $25-$50 depending on my mood and a free hand to be creative. The best store gets an atta-girl. All of the stores are open 24 and partly attended. We hang the Stuff high above 4 feet and have no problems with vandalizem. For Holloween we give candy (the good stuff) each weekend starting last weekend. The customers love it. Cost me about $100 per weekend.
We also do a Christmas float each year, last year we ran it in 3 parades and gave away about $300 worth of candy and 6 cases of Soap.
Theses activities are good for the customers and great for the Help. I provide the money and my Ladies donate all the labor.
