Promotions for college town

Looking for some ideas on what types of promotions might work for students?? They are back to school next week (lots of new faces) and I was thinking of a WDF or mid-week special of some type. We are a newer card store with free wi-fi, Sat TV etc. Have you done or heard of anything that was unique, fun and effective????

Judging by the posts and replies I read, I know we have many creative owners out there!!!

College town? Trying to get the students? Offer free soap, have great video games and wi-fi. Beer won't hurt either....tanning area is good too if your up north anywhere

Thanks Kitty. I'll give the newspaper a try. Going to do a 2 day back to school event (Tues-Wed) with free pizza, sodas, soap, prize drawings and a $1.00 card to get them started. Don't think I want to offer beer :-) scary.....
