I don't know all that I know is I have a w125 and it was made in 97..

Not sure either. Great machine but stupid square door. The 18lb machine looks small with that square door.

Are you writing a book on the history of the gen 5. Just kidding. To my knowledge of working on these over the years They were introduced in about 94-95 and then the gen 6 came out about 2005. Call wascomat history I mean the service department the people there should know

Im positive the gen 6 came out beore 2005. 2000/2001 Gen6 was released. Gen 5 ran from early 90's-late 90's

I thought the Gen4 ended in 1989. So the Gen5 should have started in 1990.

That's right.
Our product generations typically run 10 years, or so, with a bit of overlap at the start and end.
Gen 1 and 2 - 1960's
Gen 3 - 1970's
Gen 4 - 1980's
Gen 5 - 1990's
Gen 6 - introduced in 2000
