View Full Version : Help- Coin Machine Locked!!!
Hey group,
it has been awhile since we posted. Long story short. Employee robbed us 2 days ago. Threw all the keys in the river!! Found a backup key for coin box, but now it won't work. Need to call someone immediately to come and open the lock on our change machine American Coin ?) and get a new lock for it!!! Any help or advice is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! HELP!!!

Why don't back up keys work? Did they glue them shut?

wow,, tough.. Only way out is a locksmith and/or dril carbide bits. Might be able to pop out the medco plugs with a dent puller.

Monarch does not handle the type of locks generally used on changers.
I would heartily suggest contacting
Midwest Vending Security

They can help you more on this application then we can.
Suggestion: Do not try to get off cheap. Get the Medeco!!
As to the coin boxes. You may want to replace those as well.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER - NEVER HAND YOUR KEYS TO SOMEONE WHEN YOU WOULD NOT GIVE THEM YOUR WALLET. THE KEYS ARE YOUR MONEY!!

I am curious how you resolved the dilemma.
Tough break...the previous owner had employees stock the changer only. Somehow that feels too risky to me.
