am purchasing new washers ( dexter ) . is there enough of a benefit ( water and gas savings ) to offset the higher costs. i have heard the argument that if you run the final extract for an extra minute you can almost accomplish the same results. also these express machines are much heavier , how does this affect "wear and tare" on the machines. if anyone has dexter express washers please comment.

I have the regular dexter front loaders two years old.. WCAD models with emeregency stop button. I could not use express because they require extra thick concrete to install.. Can't remember the exact thickness but I do not have enough.. One thing to remember about the standard front loaders is that you should not program more than 7 min or so of total spin time or you will get drive faults. I love my dexters and the customers do also.
I have both the express and regular. Cust. love them but they hardly can tell difference between them. Based on my reading and others testing I am convinced that express do not make a difference if you ran them longer during spin time.
