Hey guys,
I'm a newbie to the forum and have learned a lot already. Appreciate that.

I am looking at a laundry now.. has about 17 washers and 15 dryers. There is currently NO hot water heater (cold water only in the place). I was surprised to hear this, but wanted to throw this out there and see if anyone had any input... The location is in North Carolina, so fairly warm most of the year.

Does everyone out there have hot water heaters in their mats?

Can you give me ballpark idea of what something like this would cost for the 17 washers?

Thanks

Cold only is very very unusual!

I strongly recommend you factor in the cost to add high efficiency hot water before making an offer on this laundromat.
I have a Hamilton EVO99 rated 400,000 btu/hour and am sure other owners will name brands, models, and sizes.

How many washers are you using with the EV099?

What is the formula to use?

Thanks,
Carol

Pop a couple of tankless Riania (sp?) in and be done with it. They cost about $1300 each.

That is very odd. But I agree with Pete. According to how the machines are arranged you might have one bank still cold (apparently the customers are used to this? Even Wierder! I would be screaming my head off if I had to wash whites in cold water!) and another bank with hot water as slightly higher vend cost.
Just a thought

When I bought my mat it didn't have hot water either. Like most of the other equipment, it had simply worn out and was not replaced. When I was remodeling, I tried to move it and the bottom fell right out of it.

You will have to get some sort of water heater in there.

I can't belive that some laundromats don't have hot water. Most of our customers wash on hot all the time even in the summer. And it better be hot or you will hear about it !!
