I opened up last week and I have mostly 18Ilb and 35Lbs Huebsch washers in my mat, but am having problems with coins getting jammed or not dropping in the coin box. What should I do. It's not a big problem, just an annoying one because I sometimes have to try 20 times to deposit $2.75 woth of coins.I am very new to this business and any advise is greatly appreciated. I can not afford new coin acceptors at this time.
Thanks!!!

Pull the coin drop out and spend some time with it. Put quarters thru, see where the problem is, the hang up point. Most likely dirt or lint, could need small adjustment, you have to watch carefully.

As you may or may no know, coins are very dirty. The slide should seperate into two parts held together with a "clip" at the top. The clip should slide off the end of the acceptor. Check where the coins travel down the acceptor and you will find dirt. I scrape it with a small flat tip screwdriver. Check both halfs of the acceptor.. Hopefully this will help.
Are these New or older machines?

Coin jams are going to be something you will get used to. Seems it could happen for any other reason.
Best thing I have found for dirty coin mechs.
Get some cans of compressed air and some cans of PLASTIC SAFE Electronics cleaner.
Blow out the coin mechs. with compressed air then spray them down with the electronics cleaner then blow them out with the air again to dry.

I am learning to deal with Coin Jams, but I have One more Question. How do I fix machines that won't take the Coins at all. There's Something in the Coin acceptor that looks like a lock on one of my machines as if the machine was Stuck in a wash when I got it. How do I reset it to open the acceptor. I am a newbie guys, so be patient with me. please. Thanks a lot to all you.

A machine make and model would be helpful, but I will take a stab at this. The "lock" thing you see is probably the safety device to keep people from starting the machine with the door open. They are activated of the door switch, so when the door is locked the coin acceptor is open. IF you lock the door and it is still blocking then you have a problem in the door circuit to to the coin mech. Many owners disconnected the coil to the block device because of so many problems. This is fine until some dumb parent lets their kid climb in it after putting enough money in to wash, but not closing the door, then the kid's sibling close the door behind him and the washer starts. Normally the manufacture gets sued, not the parent who's kid is mangled.

what I just posted. Look at the locking coils to see if they are working on the coin drop. I have 2 of the same machines, 50#. I have never looked at the coin mech but I bet it is disconnected from the locking coil. I once bought a mat that had all the sail switches hot wired, Live large.

In my opinion these washers suck. I have 2 HC50MD xxxxx and can't wait for the bearing to go bad so I can junk them. They have drain issues in a big way, and does not seem to be any way to define wash cycles, IE, skip one of the rinse, pre wash, etc. Also you can not change the level of the water. All around, there are much better washers out there. Sorry. Guess Allaince will not be a sponser very soon.

Thanks as always for your honesty. I just hope they last me long enough to buy some new machines or better machines. What kind of drain problems do they have? lastly, if I can't change the level that won't be an issue for me because water is very cheap in memphis.
Thanks!!!

stuff gets stuck in the drain very easy, causing the washer to run forever until you physically turn it off. Some brands ( not all) will just go to the next cycle and eventually shut down. The SQ cycle are tied to the water level, so if something stick the valve open, and that happens frequently because of the shape and design of the drain hose, the washer just keeps trying to fill with water forever. As for the water level, it is way to low for most people, so they bitch about the water level. IT can be raised, but SQ advise against it and it is tricky. If you are unattended there are some serious security issues also. AT least you do not have the Sc series with the stupid start button.
Pete F,
I believe the machines you have come from the factory set with 2 different water levels. Prewash- high level
wash- low level
rinses- high level
This causes many complaints during the wash cycle. You can add a jumper wire on the timer that makes all levels at the higher level.

They have the 3 way pressure switch. I can mess with that, what I want to do is drop a rinse.
Pete F,
I do not think you can eliminate a rinse.
You can get rid of a prewash by putting a jumper wire on 3B to 1A.
You can raise the wash level by putting a jumper on the timer from 10B to 10A. This should stop your customers from complaining about the water level.
