I am trying to have some custom cards made and we are experiencing challenges with the mag stripe. Have you dealt with this before or do you know anybody who can properly encode the mag stripes?

Thank you.

You can order customized cards from ESD. They just cost more. They put your laundry name on there for free with a regular purchace. Your logo is extra.

When I first heard about card systems I recall a few people stating that they get custom cards made for as low as 40 cents each. It was an appealing point and I hoped to go the same route. Unfortunately however we have experienced challenges with programming on the mag stripe and the mfg is NOT WILLING to help.

Similar to the cell phone issue of portability between carriers is it not reasonable for the purchaser/owner of a $30,000 card system to be able to make his own cards where he wishes? The MFG claims that proprietary property gives them the right to exclusive manufacture and sales of cards for my equipment.

After I committed to purchase the system I learned that a qty of 5,000 cards with factory graphics came with it. I was not informed at the time that custom cards could have been ordered instead through the factory. The mfg refused to accept the 5,000 cards back to use as credit toward custom cards. I have used up the factory cards and feel as though I do not wish to patronize a company that has not supported my endeavor to have the $30,000 system succeed in my location.

The cards are a good medium to have bold graphics that help to promote the individual stores. The factory graphics however are often joked about by mat customers as being silly. Moreover the factory graphics promote only the card company technology which Laundromat customers have zero interest in. The factory cards say NOTHING about my store and I feel they are shortsighted. After all it is the success of each card store that will ultimately make the card technology succeed not whether or not a Laundromat customer is familiar with the name of the technology? The audience for the cards is for the local store. I was forced to pay to advertise the technology rather than promote my own store and I feel victimized. I wish to support and patronize a company that views my success as their success rather than paying more to be victimized again.
