Speed Queen washer problem

My speed queen 40 lb washer has been freaking out for the last two days. It started running a little bit faster through the cycles the other day and then yesterday it ran through the entire cycle in about 5 minutes, the clothes were soapy and soaked. It did this a few times and now it won't start at all. Any ideas?

It's model WX4011062210, 40 lb rated load. I don't know it's age but I'm guessing rather old. It was in the mat when we bought it.
It ran through it's cycle all the way normal once today so it's apparently an intermittent thing. We already cleaned the drain out when it started acting wierd.
Any thoughts would be a big help.

This is a GIRBAU MANUFACTURED MACHINE. I believe the only possible cause would be the timer.
