I would like to purchase a third coin changer. My current ones are American Changers which are rear access. For the most part, these have served me well. However, because of lack of wall space, I will most likely consider a stand mounted front access model. I know that American now has a line which is higher security and with Medeco locks. Any other recommendations as to the brand, model, and installtion ?

I have used only Rowe changers in the past. They are excellent with Mars validators. I previously owned a vending company and had 25+ changers and can recommend them without reservation. I have them at my mats. As far as installation goes, mount them high enough so our little angels (kids) cannot put coins, paper, pencils, toe nails, pins, coupons...............etc.. (You get the picture) in the dollar bill slot. It will cause an outage, as I'm sure you know. Good luck.

If I was looking for another changer I’d have to put in a Hamilton 1200FL with a stainless steel cabinet. Add a Mars AE2600 validator and you’ve got a work horse built like a tank. They are simple to work on and repair parts are easy to get. Hamilton changers aren’t the least expensive but they are the most reliable with the best built security cabinet. The others I wouldn’t consider.

In my research, I have come across a line of changers that will break larger bills like 10's and 20's into fives plus change. It is the BCX line by Standard. I wanted to know if anyone has any experience with this line. I have a partially attended mat (attendants only for the last few hours before closing), but when I am in the store, it is not uncommon for customers to ask me to break bills. Thanks
if I had 10 and 2 5's everytime customer asked me to break a 20. I agree having a bill to bill changer or a bill to bill and a coin changer is becoming necessary. I'm not certain if it's a good idea to have all inclusive machine or simply a machine that changes your bills and another machine that provides coins. I like redundancies and backups.

I'm the same. All the same brand and version of inner parts. In my case I use Standard Changemakers. However, if you are already using one brand and like it, stick with it. Then look for a used unit that you can take apart for spares. Make life easier on yourself.

I like the Rowe Century Series with Mars Validator.
