I just installed two used Ipso WE234SC that are about 3 yrs old with the Micro 20 processor. One runs fine, but the other displays "CLOSE" after the the vend price is satisfied and the with the door closed. Have tried opening and closing several times. These are my first Ipso's. Anyone have any advise or info on service manuals.

Thanks

The door handle on ipsos wear to the point where they will not allow the locking arm to engage. A simple test is open the door then with the door open close the latch. Check to see how much play is in the locking arm on the inside of the door as if the door was closed. There really should be very little play. Just a trick swap door handles and see if the problem stays or goes to the other machine.

Do these have chrome handles or black handles?
If Black then check to make sure that the tip of the handle had not been broken off. Compare the working one with the non working one.

another way to check other than what Wizard has mentioned is to remove the bottom front panel loosen the two 10mm nuts slightly enough to pull the front panel forward. Lock the door and push up on the bar that has the wire/ hang off it. If it moves free then you are good. If it doesn't then again possible worn handle or bend door lock parts. Happens when people slam the door.

Checked the door linkage and there is no play and also the door safety lock with the string attached moves freely. Also checked continuity on all three micro switches and solenoid. All have continuity and good positive switch action but I am still getting the "CLOSE" displayed and obviously no machine activity.

Definitely need any and all ideas!!!

Thanks
