I have the Maytags, and have used cards on them for 2 years. I converted back to coin, and now using the coin boxes and I found they are hard to slide in and out. Have to wiggle jiggle. Something must be out of adjustment, as it happens on almost every one. What is the problem? Maybe Monarch has something better? If I push in near a center while pulling up at the same time twisting the key slightly I can maybe get it out the third or fourth try. Putting in no piece of cake. They have the rod with the little stubs at the end. It is a big issue. Same thing as part number 883347 ADC Help please!
Thanks

This is happening most likely because the box it tipping at the rear when you install it especially when coins pile up. Being familar with this dryer I can't say i ever had a customer complain about it but I would try putting something inside th vault to prop the box up.
Other than that I don't have a clue.

You are having problems both with withdrawing the box AND putting it back in? or just pulling it out? There should be bump or some other feature in the bottom of the vault that supports the tray. Make sure that it is of sufficient height to do this. If the tray is full and not supported, it will put a lot strain on the ears that pop out and lock the box, the will cause it to bind and make it difficult to turn the key. This is very hard on the keys. They can break.
You may also examine the opening on all four side of the vault, if there is excessive build up in the painting it can close in the hole to where the box does not go in and out smoothly.
Other than that, give us a call and we can try to figure it out.
OH, it should not matter if this is a Greenwald box, and ESD or a Monarch, They all are essentially the same in their construction,

Norm had it right. I thought it was like Marc said, but after a couple hours, mostly just trying to get the box in and out, I found the rivot on the right side near the front was catching on the vault frame. I filed it down and worked fine. Took me 6 hours to do all the dryers, they must have been made on a Monday.
Thanks

Hi Pete. Its interesting you saying you converted back to coin. Would you share why. I'm looking to build (newbe) so I'm trying to learn how to determine which way to go. I like the card concept but we will be in a middle income 10% no english area. No one here putting much effort in the business with 18k population.
Thanks;
Jack

My reasons are personal preference and someone with a card store will give just as many reasons to put one in.
