I put in a coin-operated video game about 2 years ago. I have decided to pull it out. The store became a teen hang-out during certain time of the year. The teens didn't do any harm, but they make some of my customers uneasy.

Scroll down through some of the BS (I mean "enteries) in my muddled meanderings and see some of the comments there about adding games to a laundry. ( I just checked, It is WAAAAY down - - - about 8 entries back!!)

I built a coin operated internet kiosk station with four computers. My feelings were that kids are internet savvy enough these days that they would be just as apt to use the computers as they would an old coin-on arcade game. I get a pretty even handed mix of both adults and local kids using the computers. Even people without internet connections at home want to check their MySpace and watch YouTube videos. Kids can also play Flash games online. Overall the computers have been very successful and I've gotten a lot of compliments from customers and people walking past the store.
Warning: Do NOT attempt this if you don't know how to fix the computers yourselves.
We have arcade games in all our laundromats for 17 years,if you have right games in the store, they will make great money, search old post you will find more info.
Since I am not in my stores most time,I have some tough customers and their kids,I won't put Xbox,PS2,3 or pc in my stores.Commercial arcade game is easy to fix, hard to damage.
