I average 2,000 loads of laundry per month (includes self service & w/d/f) from 18 washers & 12 dryers.

is this a good ratio or should I get more loads for my machine capacity?

Are you familiar with the turns per day calculation? Most of us can relate to this easier. 2000 loads per month could be really good (if your store only has 5 washing machines) or it could be bad (if your store has 100 washing machines) You say you have 18 washers... what are you calling a load? some define a load being a top load washer, then if you have front loaders, what size are they? One frontload washer may hold 8 loads or more! The better answer is how many turns / day did your store do. I believe most say 4 turns per day (or more) is a good statistic. Do you know how to calculate this?

sorry I don't.

I have (14) double load, (3) triple load & (1) giant washers. All wascomat Gen 4.

I figured a load is what a customer brings in to wash & dry. If 2 wahsers are used, that is 2 loads. The reason why I figure it this way is because it is easier for me to figure the oil & water per machine useage. gas for dryers

How do I figure turns?

you can calculate turns per day with the following procedure:
1. Add up the total amount that each of your washing machines will generate in revenue if used one time.
2. Divide the total revenue generated from washing machines by the number of days and by the single turn caculation from step 1.

Example: 10 Top load washer at 1.50, plus 8 double loaders at 2.00 would equal a total of $31.00 per turn (10 x 1.50 + 8 x 2.00)

If you had a total of $4,230.00 in a 30 day month of washer revenue (not including dryers or anything else) then simply derive the total turns per month by 4230/31 = 136.45 turns. then divide 136.45 turns by 30 (days in the month of October) would = 4.5 turns per day.

So I get a very low 1.7 turns per 30 days. This doesn't seem right. WHat is an average?

That does not seem correct. Try doing it again. Assuming a "load" is one use of a machine then i have you at 3.70
