Do a search for tankless systems. They are mainly for a very small not very busy store. We have discussed this in detail before.

What is considered a "small" store?

number of machines or number of loads?

Pete,
On average - what has been your savings in gas usage in your "on demand" stores?
How long will it take to overcome first cost of buying and installing them?

Thanks - TLR

The gas only burns when demand for hot water, IE quarters coming in. I have no idea what my savings are, I did not convert, I started tankless. I have had tanks, but can not compare very well as to volume or gas type, ie, propane vs NG. As for cost it took me about 5 mins to overcome the costs, which were about 1/3 of a new tank system and no floor space needed, mount them on the wall outside.. I realize not everyone can do this.
