No burning, I checked and saw the ignitor bar just trying to burn, but just turned to red and no fire...
I already replaced new ignitor, so what's the problem?
maybe gas control box? or spark rod?
Thank you

Model number?
my first guess is the coil(s) in the gas valve

ADC58H
10 yrs old,
30LB
maybe you are right, I also guess something wrong in gas supply from pipe or value to spark rod, or gas value itself like coils....
thank you for your light on this...

As soon as we get some rain our ignition systems have problems. This is due to lint build up on the electronics. We use air to blow out the gas valve area, ignition electronics and spark and temp sensor area. Once a year preventive maintenance is about all it takes to prevent this kind of issue.

You mention Ignitor Bar then you were mentioning spark rod? The model # is wrong, is this a Glo-bar ignition system? This would be a carbon type bar with a white porcelin type base that the carbon part gets red hot.
If this is the type of system you have and the glo bar is comming on and going off and nothing happens, it could mean one of two things . One that the glo bar needs to be positioned closer to the outer ring of the burner tube to catch the gas as it is released
from the valve. the gas comes out of the outer ring of the tube, not the middle. Simply bent the bracket that hold the Glo-bar to position it about 1/4" above the outer ring , Do Not let it touch the burner tube!
Or Two the gas valve needs to be replaced the part # is 140009. Let me know either way.
If it is a DSI (Spark) type system also, let me know we can troubleshoot this with a new set of proceedures. Get me the Serial# of the machine. Serial# is 6 digits beginning with 2,3,or 4.

thank you for your advise...
the dryer is 10 yrs old, 30lb stack, 530 or 53H model....
glo-bar type, not spark type...
The rod that I was trying to mention is the small piece of rod next to glo-bar and around tube....I saw one time the repair person sand-papered it...(end-point)...
I replaced new Gas valve yesterday, but still sometimes working and sometimes not working....
so, glo-bar and gas-valve are brand new, so they should be OK,then what else??
maybe temp.sensor? or as you mentioned the positioning issue of glo-bar??
or else??
How about the disk that located in the right sidewall of dryer...which attached firmly to make the burner burn, away from wall then burner stops...is this maybe malfunctioning?
I will try today position adjusting today and let you know...
Thank you so much,

Ok, One question.....Does the Glo bar come on and go out all the time? Or is it not comming on sometimes which of course theres no ignition at that time. This small piece of rod next to glo-bar and around tube that your saying, There really is no important device there, is this piece your mentioning the umbrella looking part (Flame deflector)
in the middle of the tube? Or the corragated looking ribbon inside the outer ring of the burner tube? Please let me know.....Try To get me the serial# too.

looks like glo bar works fine since it turns to red, but it just gone maybe one second, no flame no fire...just glo bar turned to "red", that's it...
I replaced whole thing from other stack dryer which works good, but it works a couple of hours, then not working again...
sometimes it works, but now not work again,
I noticed one thing, I hear some "tik" sound when flame start from other good working dryer, but no sound from this broken dryer...
I called ADC tech service today and he recommended to clean(sand-papering) the 3 inch "ROD" located next to glo bar, ( he said this rod's function is to send signal to gas valve to open gas, like sensor).
I will do clean this rod tonight and will post the test result soon....
this dryer is really killing me !!! ( joke)

Ok, this is a Glo-Bar machine , there is no rod to clean that is on a spark ignition machine where you have a flame sensor that detects the flame and leaves it on, Have you ever given a serial# of the machine to Anybody?
You said you have changed the gas valve correct?
I would still like the serial# of this machine. There is a lot of conflicting issues here,
and this will help me to help you.
Have you ever checked your three saftey devices? One of the two thermostats or the sail switch might be why it doesn't work sometimes. The "tik" sound you hear is the coil in the gas valve. If you have changed that whole gas valve assembly from a good dryer to this dryer and still it doesn't work sometimes......you have a Saftey device problem.
Let me know. Thanks
