Anyone really like the bill changer they have?

I need a new one. My American keeps bill jamming and my Standard dispenses $1.25 when a dollar is put in. The factory does not know the problem - all settings are correct.

I want a rear load that takes $20's

What to look for. How about used?

My rowe's are maintenance free, other than cleaning the hopper tracks often.

They have been around for 17 years.

I like my Standard Changemaker. It is rear load.

I use Hamilton. I think all machines have problems if not maintained.

I have a American, bought new in August 02. It's just now started jamming a few bills. It's has over 7000 on counter. Although most of the jams recently were limp bills.

I only have had Rowe. The BC series is the best, skip the Century series. I have had very few problems, and if you keep the tracks clean, as HL mentioned, you will not have mnay problems. Also, Rowe has anti string mechs and a fast feed, string attempt built into thier changers. As I have had attempted stringing I am happy with the result.

I have two American 2001 changers. One is 7 years old and the other is 3. The only jams I've had are with torn bills. Oh, yeah, and if I forget to clean the rollers on the transport. But that's not a machine problem. I had two Rowes, BC somethings. Both gave me heart aches. In fact, on one, I replaced everything in the unit, with the exception of the wiring harness, and it never worked correctly. Even the Rowe guys were stumped. Based on my limited experience, I'd go back to American again.

Srhaz, what part of your American jams.?

Standard Changer, front load. Only had a motor go once in the acceptor in three years, and had a very fast turn around from the factory. They also gave me great service when I had to upgrade for the new bills.

At one store we have an older Standard SC5T. It came out of an old store and we started using it a few years ago, we sent it in for an upgrade to Standard for new bills. For around three years now it has been completely trouble free with exception of maybe one jam. I have newer Hamilton, 1 1/2 years old at another location. It cheats every now and then, which tells me it's time to clean it. It seemed like it was doing it about every three weeks which I thought was a lot, so I'd clean it about every 3 weeks. The last few months I've been using something called the citracrd about 2 or 3 times a week. I've only had one cheat( and this one was a torn bill) now in about three months, and haven't had to take the machinen apart again. I saw an article about the citrcard in American coin-op and figured it was worth a try. The cards are around $.50 each. They are in teh shape of a dollar bill and saturated witha cleaner that cleans the rollers and belts, and is suppose to not dry belts like alcohol can do .

If I was buying new I'd buy Standard

I remember those cleaner cards now. I read in my Rowe manual to use them frequently, but never got any. Does anyone else use them frequently and do you think there is any benefit?
