Is anybody else having trouble getting money from Laundryparts.com? We bought a transmission off of them and they charged us $200 core charge. Then, we were going to return it they said not to because they didn't need any more cores. They said they would refund our $200 back to our card. They haven't done so and won't return e-mails.

Is anybody else having a problem?

Well, you have 60 days to put a charge into dispute with your CC company (unless you used a debit card, then you're screwed). Sounds like laundryparts.com is going under and you stand a good chance of loosing your $200.

Was this for a SQ or GE tranny? I get GE trannies for $80 locally.

Yep, it was a debit card...

The transmission was $77. Best price I found locally is about $115.

Their website is still up and running! I know this doesn't mean much as they may have paid for web hosting in advance.

If any of you are looking for a reputable parts dealer, try BDS Laundry. They are listed in the journal. They have almost everything in stock and they are priced very reasonable. Have used them for three years.

We just tried BDS, so far so good.

Laundryparts has been very curteous over the phone and very helpful, however no price was lower than I could get elsewhere.

LaundryParts has done me right each time I bought from them. I have also called them and got good service and some help on my Huebsch Stack Dryer. Maybe just case of bad luck for you, I just got one order last Friday, complete. Have had good success, not purchased items with core yet.

I'll keep posted

Laundryparts.com is NOT going under. I can assure you they are the best people you will ever deal with in this business. As far as I can tell they have been in business forever and will always be.

Try (714)897-4342, Speak only with Andy - He's in charge, although I must admit the other guys seem to know plenty.

I just wanted to post the conclusion to my original post.

They called on Friday that they were refunding our money and the refund was credited yesterday. So, all is well.

Thank you...
