Has anyone here had positive experience with a rebuilder of laundry equipment?
I just had a terrible experience with one. Sold me a piece of garbage and then refused warranty. After CC dispute was succesful for purchase amount they then wanted to make amends.
When warranty was refused (machine never worked) I found a friend in Automated Laundry who did do the actual work that the junk yard distributor advertised they did.
They then said they would pay the amount of 1500 for the repairs and I agreed to allow them to pick up the unit so that they could resell and recover something.
I was brought up to forgive. Well they did send a check for 1500 but low and behold I inquired of the bank it was drawn on as to the checks worth, and they summarily told me if I were out of TP it might make a decent reserve.
Seems the check had a stop payment placed on it even before the post mark on the envelope. Check was post dated also for the 30th. They were supposed to pick up the unit today the 27th. Long story short........
While it seems unlikely that the majority of rebuilders are like this it would be wise to personally inspect if at all possible before buying ANY used or rebuilt equipment. These particular dealers were and are advertised in the Coin Journal.
