I have an ADC stack dryer and the CPU reads 'HOT' and will not start. Any suiggestions?

Cycle the power off and on. This should clear the "HOT" error. This will happen on some of my dryers when they are stuffed pretty full.

The "Hot" disply is telling you that the basket temp. reached 20 degs. more than what it's programmed for.
Why this happened could be like Master Lurker said or is could be a clog situation in the exhaust duct work that is put on the dryer, either at the end where it exists the building or a sticky damper or a blockage in the duct work. When this exhaust duct is clogged the hot air in the dryer does not escape and the temp. in the basket just rises until via.. "hot" or a thermostat kicks off the heat, or a disfunctional display occurs ("dsfl-Dryer Sensor failure).
To reset the dryer simply let it cool down, .
