I have a Maytag Triple load washer made by Primus. Wondering if anyone has heard of any problems with the spin cycle.

Recently, customers have mentioned that the clothes are coming out of the washer really wet compared to when they were first installed. Another mat in our area has the same machines and he says the same thing.

I thought the same thing a couple of months ago, but I passed it off as my imagination. How could I really tell it the clothes were wetter?

So I asked Maytag (they happened to be in the building when the customer mentioned it). The service tech says that it is impossible, that the g-forces can not change. Any comments?

Thanks,

It is very possible that the machine is only spining at low speed and is not going into highspeed extract. If the drain is partly blocked many machines have a safeguard to prevent the machine from going into high speed to protect the motor from the strain.

open you drain and verify nothing is stuck in it. Also give it a quick look on your belt. then put your clothes in the washer and verify that the washer is spinning. better yet, if you have 2 identical machines, and watch them. check it for yourself. I have had cases with machines like that, but each time it's drain clogged issue, usually a bra wire or something like it. but other cases, my contacts have been broken. If latter was true then you washer would never spin. If it's a soft spin then I would be more incline to think lose belt.

check it out and report your findings.
