A 14-year-old girl doing laundry early Saturday morning was robbed at a Valley Stream laundromat by three men, one armed with brass knuckles, the Nassau police said.

The girl was with several friends in the laundromat at 3:33 a.m. when the three men wearing black bandannas on their faces entered and demanded her cell phone, saying they had a gun. One of the three had brass knuckles on his right hand.

The victim gave up her cell phone and the three suspects ran off and got into a car driven by a fourth suspect. Fifth Squad detectives ask that anyone with information on the robbery call Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-TIPS.

I feel bad for her, but this one could have been prevented! What is a 14 yr old girl doing out at 3:33 AM?

Just what I thought Pete, but who wants a cell phone? They can tell who you call, just seems a little strange to me?

Same thought I don't go out at 3;33 am. I often wonder when I see newspaper headlines " woman assalted and raped " then read further she was walking alone home from a club at 3 am and was attacked. WHAT WAS SHE THINKING. I do feel bad for her but not sorry that she made such a poor choice . Just like the idiot that crosses a 4 lane highway on foot and is too lazy to use the lighted cross walk 100 feet farther down the street and gets hit or the surfer who wants to surf close to the jetties and then expects to be saved when he slams into them . WOW where did that come from ? I must have not got enough sleep .
