A crowbar person(s) is hitting 24/7 mats and car wash, the twist is they are crowbar the bill acceptor and reach in to get what they can. Report is they try Rowe, no money but damage, and got into a Hamilton. I know of incident of apartment route getting Crow bar into coincos on card. Few of us use coinco, but beware they can be compromised by crowbar.

Coming to you at 3am Mr Crowbar. Has taken mats and carwashes recently. New twist, going in thru the bill acceptor and reaching in for whats left. So all those locks and cages do not mean much now. If you are 24hr keep your cam outside parking so we can see the car that is involved, I am sure you will not get the face inside. Look outside the box. Let's get this guy now!

I know of five stores now in the north side of st. pete that have been robbed. One was mine. the guys are two white males, approx 30 years of age. tall, short hair. they drive a red 2003-5 ford F150 pick-up with a red topper, very heavy tint on the windows. one guy is a look out at the front door of your store and the other guy does the work. I have a DVD and still pictures of these guys robbing a store of an other owner on 16th st n, in the 30 ave block. they were coming in at night, but now I have word they are doing it in the day time also.
not a good thing, these guys are pretty desperate, they hit a coinco validator in a store on a coke machine on july16th, so they are not picky about what they are hitting.
let's all comunicate with the police and put these guys away, the st. pete police case # for the two crimes i am aware of are 07-42311 and 07-42826, if we link the case together we will get better action from the police. it will be labled a large scale buglary rather than a vandalism. it carries a heavier sentance with the state attorney also when they are caught.

Yup, got hit myself the early mornning hours of July 4th. Police could not even lift a print. Used that crowbar to try and gouge out my two bill acceptors. Ruined them beyond function, and it has cost me abput 1800 in repair parts. Locking the doors at night now 11-6, we are closed! Have the case number if someone wants to contact me. As far as I know police have the info. Hitting everythhing these giys. Know a carwash hit 3 times. How much did they get from me? $0.00. But they ruined the equipment. This is why I have a concealed weapons permit....

I would suggest that every mat owner in the area post these pictures throughout their stores in a sort of "Wanted" poster. My guess is that at least these guys would see themselves posted and stop or move on to a different target and leave the mats alone.

Looks like the discs I gave the police have been turned over to the Local news stations, they are running the clips of video today(july 20th) and this evening and saturday. For those who get channel 8(nbc) and bay news 9. these are the stations so far to pick it up.
Officer Clarke from the st. pete police is putting all the cases together, his number is 727-892-5144.

I have a question please, Is there a way of getting clearer video.

It alway seems fuzzy. Are their better systems that will give a sharper picture.

With all the new technology like hd digital I would expect to see pimples on
his or her faces.

unfortunatly, these are the best, most of my stores run the old video tape system, these are from the newer DVR systems.
The old video tape was no were near the quality of these newer systems.

And I have thier plate number! After we opened at 6am today 7/22 he came in at 6:08 , told my opening guy he was working for me. Got into a BC1400 Rowe thru the bill acceptor, reached in the bill basket. Only got about $40, but wrecked the acceptor. A customer walked in mins afte he left. I have a case # 07-44631 ST. Pete Police Dept. A newer red VW not sure of the model, not a bug, Lic# EW34Y or EV34Y. I am sure about the E, 3 and Y
Had the dolphin plate, not the team. One guy drops the crowbar guy off then comes back to get him, pretends he is unloading the car. The backed right in the sight of my 22mm lenses cam. I hope we get them soon. I checked the pics potsted, he is wearing the same boots! HE hurt himself on my changer and left some blood. I happen to have a cam inside the changer, a pinhole one. Glad I did that now

At first I thought it was a Volkswagen Jetta but I think the circular emblem I am looking at is actually part of your door.

So now I am thinking Hyundai Accent due to the short depth of the trunk lid.

I shoulda listened to my wife the car freak. She looked at the pictures last night and said it was a Volvo.

ANOTHER mat got hit again, 2nd time, happen at 11pm, he was watching it from his home and fell asleep for a while, they crowbar, This time a silver car.
Good news a team was on it, and supposedly follow the car, a suspect has been ID'd. Bad news is there is a copycat crowbar out there now. I was sent an email the crowbar guy wa arested last nite ch 13 news, yet I do not see anythign on the website, and this mat got hit.

Doubtful, all the i.d's on these guys match the one's who were caught late night July 18th. Caught in the act i might add by the police, charged with 18 counts of buglary. i do sugest everyone who was robbed contact the police and make sure their police reports contain a good mailing address and tel # for you for the State Attorney, the state attorney mailes out there forms and if you don't get it, you might not get your two cents in with these guys legally. We all should follow up on this, it makes a good case for the state attorney if we all submit our bills for loss.
