I have 3 mats on plastic. You must use CPVC, the yellow line, or Sched 80 grey line for hot water. I suggest using CPVC for cold as well, I had a mat with white pvc kept blowing stops ( the end cap), at 1 1/2 in water flowing the place floods quick! I re plumb it all in copper, my early years. Check your local code before making commitments.

Check local and state building codes first. Some areas do not yet allow plastic for other than drains. In our state, the building codes were only recently updated to allow for this. Codes do not alway keep up with the advance of new techniques and new building products.

To avoid future issues, take a moment to check this out.

I know I have installed plastic in a number of places and they work great, are easy to work worth, and more inexpensive since copper prices have gone through the roof.
