View Full Version : Huebsch Twinstar Issue
I have 2 huebsch twinstar dryers that will shut off after some continuous use, maybe like running for 3-4 hours. Once they cool down for 1/2 hour to 1 hour, they will run again.
My tech has stated that they need motor replacements.
Does this sound correct ?

These dryers motors do overheat from time to time leave the back panels off and/or remove the whole cage (jump the safety switch) This will allow better air circulation on the motor. If all else fails replace the motor(s)

I swapped out a working motor and put it into this dryer that stop after some use. It still stopped after a few hours of use.
Does anyone know what the high limit thermostat does ?

the high limit will kill the gas to the dryer, not the motor.
Maybe the lint screen/ exhaust vents or or sail switch has issues.

So if the hi-limit thermostat is not working, it will only kill the gas, thus the dryer will continue to run , but be cold ?
In my situation, the dryer completely stops turning.

Actually all three of my items stop gas, but let the motor run as I think about it now...
A door switch will stop a motor, and there are a couple other kill switches, one in the lint tray, another in the motor cage. Maybe a wire is jiggle loose. Or the motors are shot
