Two of my Neptunes 14PDs are showing D11 error. When I start the cycle (after clearing the error code), the machine asks to reselect cycle within couple of minutes. When I reselect the cycle, it asks to reselect cycle again in couple of minutes.

On previous occassions, I ended up changing the motor kit. However, I wonder if that was premature and costly decision.

Is there anything else that could be causing it?

It could also be the computer board...but not likely

In my experience with this error is is most likely a loose belt and/or a worn motor mount isolator. It is possible for the motor tach on the back of the motor to be faulty as well.

D11 is "Motor speed error detected (cycle paused but can be restarted)"

You may have a dead motor controller, in which case you will have to replace it with the motor kit.

Does the basket turn at all? If not, does the basket turn when you remove the communication cable connector to the motor controller?

The belt seems to be on tightly.

The motor does turn the tub in both D11 machines. However, I hear some grinding or squeking noise in one of the two D11 machines when it is turning.

Then, there are other times also when I see D11 error but no "reselect cycle" and the machine continues to function properly. I reset the error code and that is it.

What is a motor mount isolator or motor tach?

On the rear of the original drive motor/ motor controller there is a speed sensor (tach) that is running to the controller.

The isolator is the plastic insert that goes between the motor mount post and the outer tub. The original isolators where not made of good material and wore in one spot causing some play in them.
