When doing a tennant build out of an existing space, we had to have more electric service brought in from the power company. Am I wrong to think that this should be a cost of doing business for the power company? They already have our electricians putting the big boxes on the wall outside. All that they are doing is pulling another line from the pole to the building and they want us to pay.

You will have to pay. One reason to look for an existing mat before building a new one. The infrastructure can/could save lots of time, money , and effort

And your customers will be washing and drying their clothes in your store and you want them to pay?

Laundryboy, I certainly agree our first mat we bought was an existing mat. Buying an existing mat is SSSSSOOOOOO!!!!! much easier than building.

I guess I am just venting a little about the power company. The other side of the problem is that we are in a shopping center and we are dealing with problem of other tennents and the Power company wanting to re-do the entire shopping center rather than just adding extra service for us.

my last new mat I paid., the pole was right in my driveway to start! They put in 3 phase power, had to redo the pole and the cans on it. I forget what they charge me maybe it was not so bad..maybe 2-3k? At the time it seemed a rip.
