It's been awhile since I've seen any posts on camera systems. With the new year we plan on installing a remote system. What works well for those that have them? Wired/wireless ? What companies would you recomend that you have dealt with? With all the tech its a little confusing. Don't mind spending a bit more for better, just don't want to say I should of got this or that.
Thanks for any imput.

Go wired only
Go color only.
Some cams for wide angle, some for close ups
16 cam card is better than 8 cams, you need several outside to make a complete system.
I like Geo Vision cards for the ease of use, I have tried a couple others, thought they were not as good.
Buy the system, then buy a few cams, set them in stratigic areas. You will see how they look and if you want close ups, etc, it may be better to build it out over time. You can buy simeese wire or 2 in one, so power/vid is the same wire, makes it much easier. At one mat I have a pinhole cam inside the changer, I drilled a small hole and mounted the cam. I get the face shot every time. Another changer was far away from a good mounting place so I bought a 22degree FOV, it is a small window of view but I can see the color of thier eyes 20 feet away at the changer. Mount cams high so they can't be stolen, or use bullet cams behind walls. Never can have enough cams.

Hi Bob,
This is a rack mount DVR system that Im currently looking at buying. It has all the features you could ever want and is reasonably priced. Hope this helps.
