Someone is using my dryers ( at 2 mats) with tar on clothes. It is wreaking havoc on customers. I am trying to catch them, but uintill I do, how to clean tar off clothes? Everyone thinks I am going to hnd them cash for ruined clothes, which I wil not. There are signs up about the TAR, still I would like to offer some sort of solution

Try haveing the items dry cleaned. Go to one of those dry cleaning by the pound places.

Guess the call this morning was NOT a TAR attack!. Lady that called siad she was doing the clothes for the "home" and had some items damaged, thought it was TAR ( Maybe from the sign that says "NO clothes with TAR or Grease permitted") Anyway, she wanted me to call her super, so I did. The manager seemed supprised to hear from me, and was quite sympathectic to dryer problems left behind by others. She told me the stains were more like a marker. After discussion I said I would check the dryers and let her know. I inspect all the dryers, all were very clean. No tar, markers, nothing. I will talk to her tomorrow and discuss my findings. I think she runs a ACLF and sends the nurse helper up every week to laundry the clients clthes, so I do want to keep her happy. Maybe I will give her a $10 card, she can pocket and charge the clients anyway.

BUT..
I was cleaning up today, notice a young man, seems his Dad gave him a ride over, drop him off. The customer goes to the soap vendor, buys stuff, then starts loading the tops. I was not really watching, but came to that area just when I see him open the top lids and toss a bounce sheet in! Have to say it. "Hey man, what are you doing??"
He looks intent, stirring the sheet. Says, "what are these for?"
I told him they go in the dryer to soften clothes. He responds " I thought they melted into the washer" thing they were some sort of soap pad, maybe on the lines of the new mouth strips?
I got him some soap I had out back and told him to put the sheets in the dryer when he put the clothes in. he thanked me, I went on my way.
