We have a concrete floor with a slight green tint that was sprinkled into the concrete when poured over 40 years ago. As I posted before that we had been using a 2 part Pratt & Lambert epoxy but needed to do it at least once a year. A local contractor has been doing a resurfacing with grinding & a hardener over the top that makes the floor similar to the floors at all the Home Depots all over the USA. The brochure he gave me was from the following company & link http://www.lmcc.com/ Tell them you saw their link on Coinwash.com. And to please become a Sponsor of Coinwash.com too Before I sign a 3 dollar plus a square foot contract----over 3 thousand dollars I thought maybe some of you could have some valuable input to share on what to expect. The contractor said he can grind our concrete floor down further & make it into terrazo at no extra charge if we prefer. Thanks in advance.
Why not just put in ceramic tile.

agreed. One more mistake I made a few years back when we laid VCT.

Every time I go to the Sweet Bay supermarket, a Hannaford corps store, I see the shiny cement floor. I looked at their website, and saw the pics. This could be a good alternative to the tile floor.
I don't know why you would not put in ceramic tile. The ceramic is beautiful and stays beautiful with very little upkeep. In my opinion, a concrete floor just doesn't look very good. It looks very plain and cheap compared to ceramic tile. If you are going to spend $3,000 on concrete, why not get ceramic and make your store look great!

We have a ground and polished floor and it looks fine maybe not a great as tile. As long as the floor is clean most people don't notice.
