Thank you for the tips on starting a laundry. I have a few more details.

Although I have not been able to check on impact fee....lovely beast there... we have a building located.....just so happens it is owned by the in-laws.....could be scary. Contract is the only way to go and they agree. They are both elderly and realize we will own the building eventually anyway.

Perfect building and good location for a rural lake town. As you come over the overpass in to town, we would be the first building you see. I will have a new rod-iron fence in front with nice vegetation and a small plant nursery. Inside the building it is already perfectly divided to offer laundry/arcade with divisions for a day spa.....hair, nails, tanning. Parking is awesome, several spaces right at the door.

We own the billboard across the road and we have some road front property on the way out to the lake that we could build a billboard.

We need to work on sewer/drainage.

We are in a closed basin, so we cannot drill a well.

I am very interested in the GEN 5 Wascomats suggested by buddy. I assume I just need to find a Wascomat dealer and perhaps he may be able to locate some?

Is anyone familiar with good dealer in Amarillo, Tx. or Albuquerque, NM or Denver, Co. We are centrally located between these three areas. Even Ft. Worth, Tx or Oklahoma City, OK would be O.K.

Any other starter tips greatly appreciated!!

I just bought a 50lb from NY Laundry. It was nicely rebuilt. Not perfect, but it certainly looks good. I hope to install it in about a week.

We are sitting here discusses whether to rebuild or purchase rebuilt wascos. Of course, time is limited and muscles are deteriorating. Has anyone done a cost analysis on rebuilding your self or purchasing a rebuilt machine?

I heard they will rip off anyone they can. Stay away from NYLAUNDRY is what I heard. They seemed a little shady on the phone.
