I think if you have people waiting for machines on Friday-Monday more machines is the obvious answer. I think games are a must to occupy people and add a little $ to the bottom line. I also saw a new popcorn machine that looked really interesting as well. Bottom line-what will customers put the most $ into?

that will depend on a million other factors
if you have a dryer bottleneck just adding a dryer will help
at busy times are people standing around waiting for a dryer?
if your customer base prefers a different mix of equipment than you currently offer, changing might help - to analyze this collect, count, and calculate turns for each machine type separately. for instance if you discover your largest washers get more turns than the smallest ones, getting rid of smaller and getting more larger would make sense.
are you in the laundromat much? I am, so I watch where people go and what they do while waiting for their laundry. I notice on warm days a lot of people go to the convenience store next door and come back with ice cream. so I would consider ice cream - except next door has a full ice cream counter with a dozen or more flavors hand scooped and shakes, so I won't try to compete with that. not very many people leave to play video games next door, so I won't bother with that either. other snacks and softdrinks are big and easy so I offer from vending machines whatever I can fit. For additional WDF capacity I added carts instead of counterspace and I can pull the carts into the office or boiler room if needed - but I have a failry small WDSF volume
only you can analyze how best to maximize profit for your unique circumstances
If you are not sure, the cheapest, easiest way will be games.
Have a arcade operator put one or 2 GOOD GAMES in ,junky games don't earn well, ask for a Neo Geo 4 slots or Ms Pacman,Galaga style game.If the games do well, buy your own games!just don't sign any long tearm deal with operator, most won't ask you to sign anything.Since you don't need installation, buy supply(vending) or buy any machines(washer, dryer, vending machine).
I am in arcade games business, this is just my view.My games gross more than some washers, dryers,I don't need water, gas and very little electric for the game.

Become your own customer, do your own wash for a couple of months then ask what you would like to see. Your customers will want the same thing more than likely.
