Can we think about customers' SUE against laundry owner?

as a business owner and treats customers everyday or your employee do the same.... we encounter sometime "LAW SUIT".
in some cases, some mean customer just sue us even if we didn't do any illegal action against them.
once sued, then we will have to go to the court, maybe with attorney and it costs money and time and stress....
how did you handle this ridicurous sue?
have you never got sued?
as an store owner, are we so vulnerable?
america is free country, so it's free to sue somebody....
so, I think we need to prepare all these legal action and need to learn how can we handle and how can we prevent it....
let's share some idea on this matter, thx

on this subject. Just took over 2 good sized brooklyn mats. within 2 weeks of taking over we have had 1 armed robbery(guy hit multiple stores in 1 night) and one little girl playing in cart pull a folding table down on herself. Mother comes over an says stop crying. I have to finish folding my clothes. My attendant suggests that since child (10 years old and 150 pounds) has not stopped crying maybe the er is in order. Not sure if they went to the hospital. Dad comes to store yelling & screaming. Looks at tape and realizes "mom" was not watching kid and kid was out of control. a week later I get a letter from an attorney asking me to forward it to my insurance company. Badly behaved kid, mother not watching, kid gets shaken up and I get a lawsuit. What a country.
I would like to call child protective services on this mom but my lawyer says to stay uninvolved.
