Could someone tell me the busiest period in a mat and the percentage of income recieved in that period. For example, is it 10am to 2 pm on a Sunday wiith 10 percent of the income achieved in that 4 hours ect or would it be better to look at a longer peroid, say Sunday achieving 25% of the income. I guess the period looked out would be influenced by consistency of the income. I know this will differ but I looking for a rough estimate of predicting weekly income by looking at a shorter period. I thought this may be a supplement to looking a mat income along with water usage etc.

Thanks all for your help.

Hey Matt! Relax! We're laundry owners, not economists.

But, even if I could track such statistics, nothing would be consistant. My business is different week to week and month to month.

Some weekends, I don't do anything on Sat, then Sun is busy all day. The next week it's flip-flopped and Sat is busy while Sun is slow.

LOL. I'm relaxed now. Had a beer, taken my accountant cap off.

I have read other discussions on this board about mats getting 50% of thier income on the weekends. Thought I might be able to get that fine tuned a bit. I have worked for a chain of luggage stores. They had about 50% of the income on Thursday (Late Night Shopping) and Saturdays. It was fairly consistent accross all of the shops. We did customer counts on the oppostion on trying to predict what sales they were doing. Gave us a ball park figure and an idea if it was worth entering the centre. Thought their might be some pattern to mats.

Thanks

That's something that only a card system can tell you. Ask Kirby, but I bet he'll tell you it changes all the time. I like it best when the business is steady each day with no big spikes.
