what do they(attendants) do when shift time?
they call and report you every time? or do only if some problems such as next person not appeared or some problems in the store during his shift?
if store runs 24 hours with attendants, then how do you manage and monitor the shift of employees?
Thank you

At my store, we keep a shift-log. This is a one-page form filled out by each attendant for each shift. It has the attendant's start and end time, a starting and ending cash-drawer count, and an activity log. This log includes each WDF job (ticket number, amount received from customer, amount deposited into machines, amount taken off for redeemed advertising coupons, etc). It also includes cash refunds given (machine failed to start, dryer didn't heat, etc) and retail sales (bags, detergent, etc).

I can verify the start/end times by looking at the video record. I check that each attendant's starting cash drawer matched the previous attendant's ending cash drawer, and that the transaction detail for each shift balances against the difference between the shift start and the shift end amounts. I sometimes drop in after the end of the last shift and prove the cash against the last shift-end count.

Some point-of-sale systems will automatically keep a log like this one.
