Hi...

Do I need to continue to provide the wash and fold service for customers?

most custermers are latinos ( over80%) and some african american.
current monthly income from wash and fold service is around 3% of monthly income from machines, this means small income from Wash'nFold.
generally, latino(spanish) customers not using wash and fold(drop-off) service??
if they are not prefer Wash'nFold service, is this ok to replace the counter space for wash and fold with additional machines(washer and dryers)?
or do I need to keep doing this drop-off service?

Thanks,

only you can make that decision based on your market conditions

from what you describe it sounds like more machines and less counterspace would make more money, in your neighborhood.

The real question is whether or not you need attendants. If you want to have a person in your store, that person might as well do WDF ... the income will help cover the payroll cost. If your store can safely operate unattended, and if the attendant costs more in payroll than the WDF brings in, then you're better off without. As DuBois said, it depends upon your neighborhood. Does your insurance cover unattended operation?

WDF can produce a lot of revenue if marketed correctly. Although your self serve customer is latino there is a huge population outside your mat that has a decreasing amount of time on their hands and that is your marketing dream....

If you can find train and retain the right mix of employees that can service a population that surrounds your laundromat you may have another business within your self serve business. The WDF business can be VERY lucrative. Run a search we have had LENGTY discussions on how to promote, how to start and how to grow a WDF service. There is currently several on going threads on the topic.

Great luck.

is the total income dropping if the drop-off service removed? or just the portion of wash'nfolder service dropped?
in other words, providing W'nF increases other revenue?
thank you

Portion...but you have to look how the seller is stating this income and how the income is reported into the finacials in the first place if you are in the process of verifying revenue
