How many times a day and what time of day do you clean your unattended mats? I do mine in the morning and mid afternoon. It seems to take even more than this some days, but what is everyone else doing?

Thanks

Thanks Pete, but in your unattended mats do you clean yourself have help do it, how do you have this taken care of. Have a great cleaning lady but of late she is really becoming less than acceptable so I thought maybe now is the time to shake things up... Like clean at 8am and 2pm and 6pm for about 1 hour each time. What do you think?

once every day, sometimes more
on a slow, dry, quiet day maybe 15-20 minutes
on a busier or muddy/snowy day an hour and a half

do it myself unless I'm out of town, then a gal does it for me for about an hour.

My stores are not fully attendant during the weekday, weekend is fully attendant.
I don't think twice a day in weekend is enough since attendants have to be "laundry police" and cleaning at same time in weekend.

I think 3-4 times a day to check and clean if needed works best. And always someone to close and clean at night. Seems like the messy customers are the first ones in after cleaning

Anne and clean 3 mats 2 days a week, well I do most of the clean, she stocks the vending. I have strick standards for cleaning, and work with the helpers until they have my system down pat. It takes about 1 to 1/2 hours to keep them clean per day, and then extra hours now and then for the deeper clean I require. I suggest work with your helper lady showing her exactly what you want done.

During the week I go in around 2:00pm and stay anywhere from 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on the extra things that need attention. I go back in at 9:30pm and give the store a deep cleaning that only takes 2 hours. On Saturday and Sunday I go in about noon and 5:00pm and just give it a quick clean, 15 to 30 minutes and then go back in at 9:30pm for the usual routine.

I have a pretty busy store and I get compliments all of the time about how clean the store is. I've been in business for 2 years now and this system is working well for me. I do almost all of the work myself. My wife and 2 teenage kids help out occasionally and when I go out of town I have a neighbor that does it. I have a list of things to do and anyone that can read do it. I spend no more than about 25 hours per week at the store.
