I need to see a picture of a Speed Queen Super Load II front load machine. It is a 25 pound machine and is a 1995.
A local vendor is selling one, and I don't know what it looks like. Can anyone assist?
Thank you!

I think it is the one in this thread:

If it is, I have 4 of them and they have been (knock on wood) very reliable.
I guess parts are getting harder to find, but they are good runners and customers really like them for some reason.

John posted the correct picture. The machines are quite simple to work on, very basic. I still have 3 , though they do not get to much use anymore. They are 25# washers, but are a bit of a water hog. The resale value is limited at best.

I am quite sure in 1995 SQ did not sell the super II. They were made by Dexter, with a model number ES25#### or after were made by Unimac with a model number SC25####. I thought the last Super 20's were made in mid 80's.
I think SQ stop making Super 20/Super loader after SQ bought UniMac in the 90s,95 maybe the last year model,SQ made those washer for 25 years!I had 6,got rid of all, just don't like the design.
I heard those washer's motors are expensive and hard to find now.

Well, tell me what you think. I have an opportunity to purchase 4 of these Supers for a total of $1000 for all four. They are all working and are all 1995's. Go for it or pass?
They would be replacing 4 top loaders, and be placed along side of my Dexter T600, and T400's.

This is probably an insulting comment, but you do know they are wider than a toploader, right?
Just making sure!
For $250 a piece, I don't know, maybe they'd be worth it. As I say, my customers seem to really like mine. I have 4 of them.
The coinslots can be a pain in the ass, lots of jams. I just replaced my 4 with keltners at nearly $700 total.
Hey that makes your $1k for four sound like a deal!!

On second thought, if he's replacing them, maybe you should just wave $200 in front of him, while you have your truck in the lot ready to haul them away.
Can't hurt to try and he might just be willing to let them go cheap to get rid of them NOW.

Thanks for the response.
Also, FYI, they do not include bases or coin boxes.
Are they not worth the $1000? Should I pass?
I do know they are wider, and that has been calculated.
Let me know what you think...

Why buy anything that is off the market. Parts are not stocked and expensive. You have to buy base, installation and coin boxes. Note these machines are difficuit to work on. You must be able to lift the top since the real controls are in the back and then to close you must get a oval boot to fit on a 1/4" lip. Try running the machine to test with the top up. Lastly, these machines have a porcelin drum and by now surely chipped. Once the rust starts from the inside its is beginning of the end. Keep the epoxy handy.
I would not touch them.
