Greetings.
Just returned from a little R&R in SW FLA, Fort Myers, Cape Coral area.
My wife and I were both surprised by the lack of Coin Laundries in the area. We're from New York and there are far more Matz per sq mile up here...I know there is a significant difference in population and demographics between the 2 areas...but it appered to me that this area of SW FLA was underserved..any comments from the locals?

Population density is very important, and much of the new building is going to have laundry facility in them. How far apart were the mats spaced? I am going to guess they are about 1 mile apart in my general area, with a few expections, and the stores don't do 1/2 of what your NY store will do.

Pete..
I would say that in the Ft Myers area there are several, smaller units. I wonder why there is not a greater need down there.. I know Florida is a seasonal population...but I'm going to speak to a SW Florida Dist soon...Any sugestions on any?

There is a reason why the stores are the size they are, it is becuase of demand. Comming down from NYC and trying what works there here will be a big mistake, I know others that have tried. Buy a few smaller ones and run them. Most of the big store have very bad ROI. I can name a distrib think is honest, can give you one that likes to build big stores also, if that is what you want.
