The same day I read this post I had a bad Ram ignitor, and sure enough I pulled it apart and saw two of the soldered legs were loose. Before your post I would not have thought twice about just throwing it away. I suppose since I just saved money on not buying a new ignitor I'll spend it on a premium membership. Thanks for the hook in the mouth.
Hi guys & gals,
FINALLY! I have a laundromat!!
I had promised Kitty that I would make a contribution as soon as I got a laundromat and guess what? Kitty I kept my promise!

Thanks to all the members of Coinwash. I wouldn't know what to expect if it were not for the experienced members on this board.

THANKS!!!!! :)

Really all you people who benefit from the info on Coinwash.com should drop just some $$$$$$ back to the Coinwash.com site. If the site has helped you answer a service problem and it has saved you from calling a service tech, send in a fraction of that to Coinwash. It would be appreciated and would only help to continue helping you.

Hi,

First of all, I think you guys are great, and this website is fantastic.

(Premium)Great idea for the service forum. As I am new to the laundry business (bought an old store 3 mths ago) this board has been extremely helpful.
Hello everybody, Just like to say great site, i've been browsing the forums for the last couple of months and am about to take over an existing mat. Thanks!

you should go to :eek::eek: seminar and local distributors seminar,
listen and learn but DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY SAY.Speak to local laundromat owner and coinwash.com to find out Truth to this business
i want to take the time to say thank you to all who helped me, and continue to help me. the advice ive received here was invaluable to me. because of all the insight and recommendations, and warnings, ive managed to cut out a sweet deal for myself, and learn some lessons without having to lose a ton of money . i will continue to promote this sight to all involved in the laundry business...

I spent a year studying this industry and shopping for an existing mat for sale. During that time, the most helpful sources of information were Coinwash.COM...
Thank you all so much for your expertise, you brought up many good points..... it is extremely helpful to know that this site exists with wonderful people who know the business and are willing to share their knowledge...

First, I'm a "Newbie" and learning the ropes about the biz before I buy a few stores. Second, I found the Coinwash.com booth and met Jonathan today.
I'll be promoting the site, (especially to those distributors and vendors who are not yet sponsor's!)
A great source and a great job by all you folks working on the site. Congratulations, and thanks for all that you do!

Regards,
Don Dwyer

The tunnel is long but we do see the light at the end. We just need to keep focused and continue doing the things that will make the site succeed.

Dear Jonathan, Thank You for being so tenacious in solving the problem I experienced. I just took a quick look at the bulletin board and it seems like it will be very helpful in assisting in diagnosing and finding solutions to the myriad of mechanical breakdowns I envision. Also, there seems to be a high level of camaraderie shared among the members, which is encouraging. Jonathan,
again, Thank You and look forward to working with you in the future.

Kitty Testimonials for Coinwash.com
Thanks Joe!! *******this Site Is Great!!

I strongly recommend getting a premium membership. I have been helped many times by Marc MSK, Joseph Baran and others with my equipment problems. One quick response is worth well more than the cost of a premium membership.

I have not had to use an outside mechanic because I can count on the premium section experts to walk me through any problem that I have encountered.

I have not found any site that has any knowledgable equipment people. In addition, I think that we should do whatever we can to keep this site going.

Nothing for nothing in this world.
What a great site........my husband and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible in Arizona in the Fall. (:eek::eek: Meeting ). We have recieved much feed back and it has been helpful.

Thanks To All who replied...

Great site CoinWash.com...

Thanks Guys, With your help I haved solved the problem.
On one machine all I had to do was adjust the water level screw about 1/2 a turn. The other machine I was having problems with had a bra strap stuck in the dump valve causing it to leak. I had replaced the dump valve on the other one and it didn't seem to make much difference so I never swapped out the one that really needed it.
Live and learn. I've already got my moneys worth out of my premium membership. Thanks again for all the advice.

This board this a great place to learn.geo

It has been almost 5 years when I first came across the pages of coinwash.com.

My signature back then read SecretarytoBraveDave and I had a slight attitude with anyone that challenged my position, questions or comments. The words among the posters tended to get heated from time to time, but it was fairly interesting to read. I usually got the last word.

I think the consensus was that although I was verbal at the time I would not last long lurking around the site. Well, we know that thought was off a tad. Reading and questioning the member comments on the board has proved to be my best education into the laundry profession and I am so very thankful to everyone that has ever responded to my questions or comments

During my tenure in my former position, we implemented many ideas taken directly from the professionals of coinwash.com. We implemented no smoking, raised prices, coordinated promotions and increased sales with wdf promotions specifically with the 2 for 1 comforter special. All with great success. From reading the pages from coinwash we were assisted in helping retain customers and retain market share when new competition entered our market. There was assistance with equipment negotiations and discussions with interest rates and lease vs. purchase. From the many members assistance I learned how to calculate revenues and I was given tips on how to reduce expenses. The education continues and I thank all of you who respond to member questions and those of you that care for their knowledge into this profession.

Location proved to be the topic that cannot be taught, the site is the most significant factor for a successful mat, and this has proved to be a difficult hurdle for me. When I find the location, the education I have learned from the members of coinwash.com will surely help me succeed. I hope everyone that is truly interested in the industry or is currently in the industry finds the valuable information within the Coinwash.com site a benefit to their own success.

Please let us all know how your business has been assisted with your participation or by reading our members responses with Coinwash.com.

We appreciative your patronage and thank you for your future responses. How has coinwash and its members helped you?

I have truly benefited from reading the posts as well as the responses to questions I have posted.

I think this site is insightful, full of information that prepares all laundry and potential laundry owners of the reality that faces them.

Hopefully we all will continue to learn something new each time we vist coinwash.com. I know I have.

Thanks to all!

As a prospective new owner and now an actual owner, coinwash has been invaluable to me.

To start with I learned about how to value a mat based on net cash flow, which gave me an idea of a reasonable price for what I was looking at. Learning about water consumption analysis made me confident that the seller was giving me accurate numbers.

And now that I have become an owner, getting service tips has been just great. I feel like I have a team of service pro's on call at all times; it's unbelievably useful.

It is said it is far quicker to learn from the mistakes and experience of others rather than to repeat them all yourself.

Coinwash.com is access to years of accumulated L-mat experience that has greatly reduced my machine down time, and has given me much greater confidence in running this new little business of mine.

Thanks to all and happy 2005,

John

coin wash keeps you infromed with reliable info in a timaly mannor. There have been receant discussions about the slip in quility from Maytaq. Then the 2/05 consumer reports rates Matag the worst of the new home front loaders. Coin wash is a great place to discuss all pahses of a coin laundry; it is like being at the reception of a major trade conferance everyday. The info is here in various diffrent slants to consume and use.

I hate to admit it but............if I had come by coinwash.com before I built my mat I may not have gotten into the business. This biz has it's positives and negatives but learning from experienced mat owners is priceless. I think I was a little too headstrong when I opened my mat. Some advice from seasoned pros would have helped. My mat is doing O.K. but the amount of work and bull___ can outweigh the bennies. Yes, most distributors are lying, theiving, money sucking scum and the truth of the biz is told by US, members of coinwash.com and not the sef serving jerks at our so called "voice of our industry" CLA. Wow! I feel bettre now. Next time ask me how I really feel. See you at the Clean Show.

Standard Change-Makers

Standard Change-Makers has been advertising on Coinwash.com for a little over two years. It has been money well spent. With the growth of the internet over the last several years as a primary research tool, Coinwash.com provides us with the best marketing and advertising opportunities possible: Personal Recommendation of Industry Experts.

The Bulletin Board is a community of owners, operators, distributors and other knowledgeable people that are active in the coin laundry community. When they recommend your products, that carries weight with others in the industry looking to invest or improve their businesses. There are other vehicles for our advertising dollars, but our return on investment in Coinwash.com has paid for itself many times over.

On top of all that, throw in the privilege of working with Kitty, Jonathan and the gang at Coinwash.com - you can't beat it! Thanks for helping us get the word out.
