I know this thread has been discussed many times over in various threads. I am looking into trying a new approach. I notice ACT! which is a customer database also integrates with Quickbooks. I am interested to know if anyone here is using this approach? All the customers info can be loaded, but for my purposes, I need it to track for my WDF, and more importantly, be able to print customer reciepts.

My question is, is anyone trying this and how successful is it for you? The other software packages out there for laundrymats really have a lot of stuff I don't need or you have to buy a seperate module or are geared for dry cleaners. The ACT! software is extremely reasonably priced.

Thanks in advance!

I am familar with the software but haven't used it do that degree. It works great a CRM software but not certain if it can imitate a skim version of POS system. It's a great idea though if you can get it to work for you. You may want to call the company directly to see if they have plugins for this software. If you're familar with M$ Access, I'm sure you can get it generate skim POS system and the data from Access can be exported to ACT.
