My hot water heater broke last night and flooded my store and my landlord’s store. What’s the best hot water system for laundries? Do tankless hot water systems prevent flooding?

Every water heater will leak,the newer one won't leak for a few years.
You can build or have something made ,hold water leak and a drain.Drycleaner machine require it long time ago,no drain for dryclean machine.
If your place is not too cold,you may put it outside.
