For those of you who have these front loading machines, do you also find that using powdered detergent tends to "clump up" in the small soap cup? How do you deal with it, if indeed you do?

not a big problem with powdered detergent. The tablet type are a problem. They plug up the port and overflow the tray. I think I have most of my customers trained to put the tablets inside the machine.

I see the powder clumping in my horizons also. Not sure what the ultimate fix is, but here are some tips: 1)program the machine to do a 1 minute flush of the dispensors at night. 2)inform your customers not to use a whole dispensor box of detergent in the horizons, they are 1/3 of a cup (I measured them). As you know, the horizons don't need more than 1/4 cup. 3)get the little shoehorn dispensor tool from your distributor to remove the dispensor to wash it out. Hope this helps...

Dolly,
You don't need any special tools to remove the tray. I do it all the time. You need to unclip the inner cover ( the cover that has the writing on it soap, bleach...) then pull the tray out as far as it will go and then lift the front and pull. Essentially you are pulling it out at while gently lifting up at the same time.

I dont have any clips on my inner cover. It stays in place because it has 2 downward pointing tubes in the rear that mate with 2 upward pointing tubes from the bottom of the dispensor. The cover cant be removed without first taking out the dispensor. Anyhow, the little tool is cheap and only costs $2.50.

Dolly,

OK I am either missing those tubes or we have slightly different version of the same machine. Good luck anyway
