Any thoughts on softmount machines?
I am looking at replacing some machines in the #35 - #50 capacity. One question, is there a vendor that offers this size machine in softmount? Why softmount? I have a pad that I would have to rip out and reinstall since all the hardmount machines bolt patterns are different then what I have. Seems like the softmounts would save me this trouble.
In addition to the vendor, what are your general thoughts on the softmounts?
Thanks coinwash members :)

Wascomat has some larger units in softmount. You can see them on thier website.

Not knowing your exact situation but you can still install hardmounts. A good installer will cut the existing bolts flush and drill new holes and insert achors with bolts for the new hardmounts. I had to do this at my laundormat when I replaced super 20s with dexters. No problems so far.

Soft mounts are generally for places with weak floors. I am not sure they go much over 30#'s. I have not priced them for some time, , but I think you will find them much more expensive.

Way too expensive for soft mounts - especially if you have a pad.

I am also looking at soft mounts. The one thing I have discovered is even though it is a soft mount, you probably have to put it on a base anyway. Reason is because of the drain. The Wasco has a gravity drain, but you still need the height to properly intersect your drain pipe. The pricing is attractive, but I wonder what the longevity will be.

You don't need to get softmounts. As stated cut the bolts down and redrill new one's.
continental has large soft mount washer.....but like everyone else I would caution you on installing soft mounts unless you absolutely need to - from what you describe it doesn't look like you need to.

I met a guy today that has three 55lb Huebsch soft mount washers. HX55 extractors. They are only 3 months old and one did walk on him. They are on a frame and could be bolted down if you wanted. So far he has been very pleased and no other problems.

I have some 12# IPSO softmount, held down with one bolt to keep from walking, and you are right, I had to build a pad to put them on for the drain height.
What is the price of the 55# Hueb's , soft mount vs the hard mount?
As far as I'm aware currently, the largest softmount available for coin-op is 30#. Any softmounts over 30# is aimed for the OPL market.
