30% seems low to me I always thought it should be 40% for dryers now with the higher gas rates

Not when you consider what I pay for gas. We pay $7.5per GJ total in Alberta, all costs above this are rebated back to us by the government. 1.00 GJ equals 9.4782 therms or 1.00 therms equals 0.105505585297 GJ and then you convert our CDN dollars and we are paying about $0.67USD per therm. We charge .25 CDN for 6 minutes. But with this high a subsidy we have to charge the USA more for gas next year, the Province of Alberta has no debt and only a $9,000,000,000. surplus. Sometimes it pays to have gas!

I've been running about 31% historically at all my mats. Since my price increase to 6 min, I've been a little higher.

Is 5% of business being vended soap low high normal, how does that stack up. We have vended at .75 for about 7 years now and pay about .226(sunlight) to .275(tide) per box. Bags are high about .45 per bag. All other mats in town vend for .50, so over the 7 years we have made some serious extra cash they have let slide through thier fingers. I figure the money they have left on the table to be around $2500.00 per year for 7 years or $17,500.00. And they wonder why they can't afford new machines. Because I know I'm going to be asked that number is the difference in price from thier vend price to mine and 30% of what I sell. We figure we get about 65% of the business.

I figured at .70, .55, .49 and .50 so voted 51-60
the .70 store has cheaper washer prices, compared to the others.

I'm vending my soap at .80 and this month I sold 255 box's from my vend machine. If it is the same for 12 months, I should make $2,448. Very close to your numbers.
