Is there any difference between the 30 pound Cissell Stack and the Alliance Stack (HUEBSCH,Speedqueen) They look the same?

Cisssel has made dryer forever, as has SQ, under various name plates. They are not the same dryer.

Cissell is owned by Ipso, and I was told the cissell CHD30STK stack dryer and the Ipso are made by alliance. They do look the same in the brochure accept for the computer. Anyone have any first hand knowledge on this.

thanks

I have never seen a Cissel dryers,IPSO salesman in my area told me the IPSO dryer was made by SQ,I don't really trust salesman, call IPSO tech support, you may get more answer.
Are they about the same price?
If the price are closed, why not buy SQ?
I saw a few people are selling the new but older model ADC and Cissel in the meg,the new model Cissel maybe the same as SQ but not necessary the older model.Someone told me old Cissel stack is same as the old IDC,IDC is out of biz.

Someone need to make a phone call. Cissel made dryers for many years.
At some time around 98' they became aligned with Jensen/ IPSO
It appears Jensen/Ipso bought out Cissel and became part of their line.
Question is HOT! Is Cissell still making dryers under the Jensen/IPSO name or has that been closed down and subbed out to Alliance?

The 30# stack, 30# and 50# Cissell dryers on display at Clean '05 in the Cissell booth were Alliance made. The 75# stack is still the original Cissell design.

The newer Cissel stacks are made by Alliance and shipped down to Kentucky, where they install the Cissel computer. There may be a longer warranty through Speed Queen.

I went on the Cissel web site, and my computor semed to crash and burn several times. From what I could see, all PDf files were single pocket dryers, and few small ones, ie, 30#. It semmed Cissel is not messing with " small" stack dryers. I trust Pete H,. so this is settled.

The Cissel Models are:

CHD-25, CHD-30, CHD-30 Stack, CHD-35, CHD-50 and HD-75.

All are Alliance made dryers with the exception of the HD-75, which is the stacked 75LB unit made by Cissell. The first five models are also the same units/sizes sold under the IPSO name. Both Cissell and IPSO model dryers are made in Ripon, WI and then shipped to Kentucky where they install the electronics for IPSO and Cissell.

I'm getting this info from a Cissell brochure and was also told this by an IPSO distributor.

unless Cissel /IPSO offer great deal, why not just buy SQ.
I always worry about buying something has no or little support or super expensive parts later.

you could alway buy the parts from Alliance since it is the same machine.

The Cissell/ Ipso dryer you are talking about is exactly the same dryer as the SQ or Heubsch model except for the computer. In fact the computer in this dryer is in my opinion much better than the Alliance computer in that you will never get any coin errors "ERR". Those that have the Alliance models know what I am talking about. Great dryer, I would get it over the Alliance branded dryer just because of the computer. The computer has microswitches instead of a membrane switch which will not wear down as easy as the alliance computer.

Can you plug a alliance computer in the Ipso if you needed too or is wiring different?

I am not sure yes or no, 100%. The computer and the harness to it from the back of the control box is different but the connector in the back appears to be the same. I haven't had the change to see if it can be interchanged. Cannot see any reason why you would want to do it anyway.

Was just curious if you could interchange, if in the future Cissel/Ipso parts were hard to get or more expensive then Alliance.
Thanks
