Has anyone installed the new 18 and 30 lb softmount washers from speed queen? I am interested in what you were quoted for a price and how they are working out.
Thanks,

Same here. It is part of the Horizon Line from SQ. I made an inquiry to my local distributor about pricing and have that, but I would like to know if anyone is using them and what thier thoughts are.
Thanks in advance:)

My competition has 3 of the Heubsch 18lb soft mounts. They are out of order about 50 to 75% of the time, but then he tells the customers they was at least double the clothes of a top loader. With our tops at 1.75 and his softmounts at 3.00 perload this is the only way he can get people to use them. But maybe his sales pitch is causing some of his problem? He may need help with the math but if someone but in 24 to 30lbs in a 18lb soft mount I think you will have nothing but problems.

Just curious on the thinking here. The only reason I can think of to put in a 30# soft mount is you have weak floor, ie, a celler underneath.
I understand 18# softs, they can back up to hard mounts like a top to save space that you could not mount a regular 18# in. They still have their share of problems, but some cases it is all you can do. I hate the things but may end up putting them in the next store. But a 30# soft? I don't know what the building are like in WI, but I know FL most are built on a slab, no soft mount needed. If there are other reasons to consider post them, I still like to learn and may be missing something.
I don't have any softmount front loader,I know 3 people have them in my area, one even has the first model SQ,both SQ owner are happy with them ,the Heubsch owner doesn't like them ,I thought they are the same, don't know why.

I have the Huebsch Horizon's. Haven't had any problems after a couple years. They do a great job spinning the water out of the clothes. Overall, I have been very satisfied but I do wish that I could do more with the cycle programming......not a lot of options. Pricing? I can't recall exactly but I would say in the $1100 - 1300 range. Maybe less......

I have 3 Aurora's which are doing 4-5 TPD I have had several problems
all is resolved. Vend price 2.25 HWC 2.50 for super wash
My customers like them I market them as Express Wash
wash dry and fold in less then 1 hour.
The big question will they hold up?
