I know that we discussed this a while back, but I can't find the posts.

I am considering getting a bill-to-bill changer to avoid the attendants having to break bills for customers. I know some just flat out refuse to give change and others keep a boat load of cash on hand. My biggest concern is employee theft over time, not as much the one-time wipeout, considering the cost of the bill-to-bill changer.

I will have a card system, but I'm sure that some (most?)customers will be reluctant to put much more than necessary for the week on the card.

What do you folks think?

Mark, from what I recall your telling me was going into the strip center I don't think you will have that much need to make change.

I do keep as much as 400-500 at the shop now for the attendants to make change. It is really there only as a convenience and is not "offered" or pushed by them. I have never had a problem. I hold a weeks pay so a quick grab might have complications and as far a being bleed over time, I just write it off to some extra refunds here and there.
